Use of X-ray crstallography to prove that DNA is crystalline, Maurice Wilkins

Interviewee: Maurice Wilkins. Maurice Wilkins talks about obtaining an X-ray diffraction pattern. (DNAi Location: Code > Finding the structure > Players > Maurice Wilkins > Proof that DNA is crystalline)

So it took Raymond Gosling and me some time to sort this out and get it working properly and, but it was very exciting to see all the spots on the photographic film which, fairly sharp spots which indicated it was a fiber that consisted of a mass of crystals of DNA. And so that's the evidence that DNA was crystalline.
