DNA used in X-ray crystallography experiments, Maurice Wilkins
Interviewee: Maurice Wilkins. Maurice Wilkins talks about where he got the DNA used in his experiments. (DNAi Location: Code > Finding the structure > Players > Maurice Wilkins > Where he got the DNA)
So that here we have the DNA from Signer, who came to a Faraday Society meeting in London and at the end, describing how they made DNA to keep the molecular structure intact, to strip the protein off it and purify it without spoiling the structure of the DNA itself. And he had tubes like this and held them up and, at the end and said anyone who wants one of these to do research on, will they come up. And so there was a queue. I apparently was the only one at the meeting and so I got in the queue right away, so I got some.
